Studied Art at Chester Art College

For as long as I can remember I have held a crayon, pencil or brush in my hand. As a child I loved to draw modern patterns, and as a teen, pop art, realistic portraits and wildlife drawings.
After leaving school I studied Art, Graphic Art, and Ceramics at College but decided not to take it further at that time. I moved to London where I met my first husband, who taught me the basics of tattoo artistry. In the late 80's and early 90's I spent time painting Celtic style artwork, fine-line art and wildlife art. In the early 90's I took another course to refresh my abilities and introduce computers into my work, and for a few years I worked mainly in DTP. In 1998 I once again took an interest in tattooing and in 2010 I opened my own Tattoo Studio, specialising in Realistic Animals, Portraits and Japanese style tattoos. This took up so much of my time I barely had anytime for any of my own art, but during the lockdowns of 2020 I did less and less tattooing and moved back into doing my own artwork. I explored Paint Pouring with acrylic paint which was messy but great fun! I focussed on more spiritual art and spirit guide portraits which is where my love of using coloured pencils truly began. Then just last year, I ventured into the field of animal portraiture which I feel is where my heart truly lies.
